FRIENDS of Arvie Villena, together with the Thursday Institute for Transformative Ideas, announce the much-awaited, hastily-organized, but nevertheless well-intentioned Arvie Villena Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Invitational. To be held Friday October 5, 2007 at nine o’ clock at the Access Point bar in Quezon City, the event plans to bring together all friends and colleagues of the underrated Collegian graphic artist.

For a minimum of a P500 buy-in, Arvie’s friends—and even friends of Arvie’s friends—will be given a seat at one of the two poker tables and a set of chips, ensuring an entertaining night of betting, bluffing, bullying, and mucking.

A map to Access Point will soon be made available at the Thursday Institute’s website.
